We are proud to share that Dr. Michael I. Bukrinsky, a Professor in GW's Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Tropical Medicine, has co-authored a new review titled “Maladaptive trained immunity in viral infections”, that was published in the Journal of Clinical Investigation (JCI). In this Review, Dmitri Sviridov, Mihai G. Netea, and Michael I. Bukrinsky posit that maladaptive trained immunity arises from contextual factors and discuss its contribution to system disease and viral vaccine responses.
