CRISPR‑engineered schistosomes secrete anti–SARS‑CoV‑2 C5‑Fc nanobodies. When released into the blood of infected mice, these nanobodies neutralized SARS‑CoV‑2 virions as effectively as – or more effectively than – national reference human convalescent serum.
